Empowering Leaders In a Distributed Team - Sprinklr
The Challenge
Christoph Jourdan, the VP of Solution Consulting at Sprinklr, leads a distributed team spanning 8 countries. He manages 5 managers who are located in different parts of the world. Due to the remote nature of their work, it is challenging to foster a sense of connection and collaboration among the team, especially for the managers. Christoph recognizes the importance of creating a supportive space where the leaders can come together to share their challenges, learn from each other, and build strong relationships. As a result, he’s looking for a virtual platform that can bring everyone together and foster a culture of support and belonging despite the physical distance.
The Solution
The Leaders Circle is a unique 90-minute group experience designed for team leaders to connect, gain support, and learn new perspectives on their leadership journey. Warmspace, a tech-guided conversation platform, combines music, interactive elements, and relational science to create an engaging and supportive environment for team leaders to share challenges and perspectives to support each other in their leadership journey.
The experience begins with a brief grounding exercise and check-in on positive things happening in participants' lives. Each person then has the opportunity to share a leadership challenge they're facing and how it's impacting them personally. The rest of the group is guided to offer supportive feedback, creating a sense of being seen and heard. The session concludes with an open discussion for participants to share observations and ask questions. Finally, there is a check-out where each participant shares one takeaway they are walking away with.

Result
At the end of the session, participants expressed their appreciation for the safe space created for them to experience a sense of camaraderie and support with one another. The Leaders Circle framework enabled them to be remarkably open in their exchange of experiences. A common thread that ran throughout the session was the realization that they were not alone in their leadership journey and that many other managers in the group had faced similar obstacles. The positive impact of the session was evident as participants felt reinvigorated and self-assured to overcome future challenges. They learned from each other's experiences and were reminded of how they had managed to surmount comparable hurdles in the past.
Furthermore, they expressed feeling more connected to the fellow team leaders and now more comfortable in seeking support. Inversely, with the deepened sense of trust, they perceived an increase in willingness and proactivity to offer help and collaborate with one another. One valuable insight the leaders derived from the session was the importance of active listening, without immediately providing advice, recognizing that some individuals simply want to be heard.
In the end, the team expressed their eagerness to continue this level of sharing on a regular basis and even replicate the session with their own teams. With hearts full of laughter, meaningful sharing, and warmth, the team departed feeling uplifted, connected, and empowered with renewed confidence to lead their team.
